Miami without the rush

Not forty disconnected pins. This route gives one compact layer of the city to each day: ocean and Art Deco, Cuban culture, contemporary art, Downtown/Brickell and one flexible day for an event or nature.

Itinerary

One neighborhood cluster per day

Day 1 · Miami Beach

South Beach and Art Deco

Start at South Pointe Park, then follow Ocean Drive and the Beachwalk. This is Miami’s intentionally spectacular layer—see it first, but do not mistake it for the whole city.

  • Morning: South Pointe and the beach.
  • Afternoon: Art Deco District and Ocean Drive.
  • Evening: Española Way or a quiet waterfront walk.
Day 2 · Culture

Little Havana + Wynwood

Begin with Calle Ocho and Domino Park, then move to Wynwood. The two areas show different city stories: Cuban diaspora heritage and a warehouse district reshaped around art and hospitality.

  • Morning: Little Havana at an unhurried pace.
  • Afternoon: Wynwood murals and galleries.
  • Check current Wynwood Walls hours and tickets.
Day 3 · Urban core

Downtown, Brickell and Vizcaya

The free Metromover connects Downtown, Omni and Brickell. Vizcaya in Coconut Grove adds historical depth to the modern skyline.

  • Morning: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
  • Afternoon: Downtown and Bayfront.
  • Evening: Brickell and the Miami River.
Day 4 · Choose

An event, the Everglades or another neighborhood

Keep the fourth day flexible. Check VDAI’s weekly calendar: one well-chosen local room can reveal more of Miami than one more attraction.

  • Option A: a current AI, business or community event.
  • Option B: an official Everglades tour.
  • Option C: Coconut Grove or Coral Gables.

Route note: Miami Beach and mainland neighborhoods may look close on a map, but traffic changes the day. Do not compress South Beach, Little Havana, Wynwood and Vizcaya into one dense loop.
